CT’s audience is now more than 30% under 35 years old. The Next Gen Initiative empowered CT to reach younger generations with an inspiring vision of what it looks like in our time to follow Jesus and advance his kingdom.
The Pinetops Foundation estimates that 42 million young people who were raised in Christian homes could walk away from a life with Jesus by 2050.
The data—and the young people themselves—tell us they are leaving the Church not because they cannot believe its doctrines but because they cannot bear its actions: hypocrisy, enmity, prejudice, politicization, and abuses of power. For a generation that values authenticity, the most powerful apologetic is a life lived in imitation of Jesus. The love of Jesus and his kingdom should translate into following in his footsteps—professing the gospel in word and deed, serving the poor and needy, defending the powerless and oppressed, and providing opportunities for growth and flourishing.
The Next Gen Initiative is casting a vision of following Jesus that is compelling for even more people from younger generations and is inviting them into a community that pursues the kingdom of God together.
The Next Gen Initiative Highlights and Impact

CT’s most energized advocates come from the next generation of readers who actively share their love and impact of CT with others. Because of you, CT is building long-term engagement with a younger audience.
